Tess Holliday posa nua em projeto contra estereótipos de beleza

Tess Holliday é uma das modelos que rompem padrões de beleza na atualidade. No vídeo de um novo projeto, ela posa nua e sem maquiagem, encarando a câmera com uma confiança abaladora.

A ideia do “100 Women” é fotografar e gravar meninas e mulheres de idades entre 11 e 86 anos sem nenhuma camada de idealização estereotipada, procurando encontrar quem elas são de verdade. O criador é Scott Nathan, fotógrafo premiado por seu trabalho com celebridades e publicidade. A descrição do projeto no Instagram explica: “por décadas, [Nathan] aperfeiçoou o seu talento para manipular cada faceta da fotografia comercial para criar imagens idealizadas de beleza. [Ele] ficou cada vez mais fascinado pela distância e diferença entre as imagens que ele e seus modelos conspiravam para criar, a essência deles como pessoas”.

Scott grew increasingly fascinated with the distance and difference between the images he and his models conspired to create, and the essence of them as people. Each professional image was created to elicit a specific reaction in the viewer. Scott found himself wanting to do the opposite. He shot his subjects with no make up, in austere black and white, with raw, white lighting—without the safety that a big commercial set creates by requiring everyone, including the models, to play their appointed roles. With a closed set and one camera, Scott wanted to create as bare and private an environment as possible and see what would happen if he just simply filmed his subjects.
